After using Artificial Insemination practices in his own herds in Bristow, Oklahoma, Mark Beach soon discovered the importance of heat detection. In 1993, Mark started developing an aid in detecting standing heat. After extensive research and studies, Mark developed the BullsEye Electronic Heat Detection System.
Mark has been fortunate to have great help and support throughout this endeavor. His wife, Carla, as well as two children and son-in-law have supported him along the way. Daughter Katy and husband Chad Herman also reside in Bristow and recently welcomed their first child, Cash. Their son Cody, who currently helps manage
Beach Livestock,
will attend Oklahoma State University in the fall.
Mark and Carla’s involvement in the cattle industry stretches beyond production. They have served as Bristow 4-H leaders for 10 years, Bristow FFA Alumni members for 12 years and Oklahoma Junior Limousin Association Advisors for 10 years. In 2001, they received the Oklahoma Limousin Breeders Association Family of the Year award.
